Sleipnir now supports Windows 7’s new feature, AeroPeek and has the new designed address bar and search bar. We also have fixed some bugs.

Sleipnir 2.9.1 stable RELEASED!!

We are  very pleased to inform that Sleipnir 2.9.1 stable released today!

Sleipnir 2.9.1 has Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility View switch mode and is now Windows 7 compatible. It also has new features and supports Windows 7 JumpList.

New Garden Skin "Anemone" RELEASED!!

We released new skin, "Anemone," from the "Garden skin series" today!






This skin color came from flower called "Anemone."  We wanted to create something very different from the skins we already have, so we hope you enjoy the difference using "Anemone"!







The skin has only 5 designed toolbar icons so far, but we plan to design others and release as an official version in the near future.

Hi, today we released NEW skin "Erecta"!
"Erecta" is one of the "Garden skin series" following "Ruse."

Idea of the skin came form "Duranta erecta," small purple flowers with vanilla-like smell.

This time our designer focused, especially, on creating very unique browser frame.

Have you installed Internet Explorer 8?
(Internet Explorer 8 is for operating system, WindowsXP or newer. Please visit the site below for more details and download)

Sleipnir uses Internet Explorer engine so when you install IE8, Sleipnir can use your updated IE engine. If you are using WindowsXP/ Vista and still have not installed the newest version yet, please install. It can solve issues such as Sleipnir sometimes seems to be heavy or freezes.

You can uninstall IE8 easily if problems occur after installing it, so we recommend you to install Internet Explorer 8.

Today we updated 2 plug-ins, Headline-Reader Plugin and OpenLink Extension.
We fixed bugs and made some changes by users' requests.

*Headline-Reader Plug-in 1.3.4



-Fixed bug that shows an error dialog on startup the program on a certain environment.


*OpenLink Extension 1.0.2

-Enable to use variables below for “Program used on opening file” on the detailed setting window so that you can choose to save in file or URI on executing program.

{file}...Saving destination file name
{uri}...URI

 -Fixed bug that “Program used on opening file” returned to the previous setting even after changing its setting and restarting Sleipnir.

We have received reports from users that Sleipnir default security does not work appropriately on some operation environments.

We checked the case and confirmed that the issue occurs with specific conditions and procedures with Internet Explorer 7 or higher. It may affect Sleipnir with customized default security setting.

Please follow the steps below to avoid the issue:

1. Install the latest version of Sleipnir

Sleipnir download page

2. Download and unpack corresponded archive

Sleipnir (Windows 2000/XP/Vista)
Sleipnir (Windows 98/98SE/Me)
Portable Sleipnir

3. Make sure to close Sleipnir

4. Open Sleipnir installed folder below with Windows Explorer

Sleipnir installed folder:
C:\Program files\Fenrir & Co\Sleipnir\plugins\browser

Make sure to backup or rename IEBrowser.fx in the folder.
Copy new unpacked IEBrowser.fx to the folder.

After that, please check if Sleipnir works appropriately.
If it does not, the applied archive may not be correct. In that case, please apply correct archive or restore backed up or renamed IEBrowser.fx.

 This new skin was named "Ruse" since our design team created it getting inspiration from "Ruse Black." Ruse Black is black flower which booms in the winter and is also called "Christmas rose."
